Institute for Sustainability at Shanghai Expo
The Institute for Sustainability jointly hosted two high profile events as part of London Week (26 to 29 July) at Shanghai Expo: 'Learning Legacy' seminar and 'Towards Sustainable Cities' two day workshop. Both events aimed to help develop opportunities for future collaborative research, innovation and investment between the UK and China as well as share best practice between the two countries.

Towards Sustainable Cities - Research Frontiers and Business Opportunities
Working with the Sino-UK Institute for Sustainability based at Tongji University, EcoNetworks (a research collaboration between leading UK and Chinese Universities, funded by EPSRC) and the London Development Agency, the Institute co-hosted this two day workshop for Chinese and UK delegates from Government, academia and business.
The outcomes from this event will be communicated to the UK and Chinese governments to demonstrate the value of ongoing collaboration and we will continue to work with international partners to initiate new projects and new partnerships.
A report presenting a summary of the event proceedings, high-level outcomes and next steps can be downloaded here: in English or in Mandarin.
