Middlesex University – Centre for Environment and Safety Management for Business

FLASH—EcoStep is a free, easy to follow programme, designed specifically for SMEs across London, and delivered by the Centre for Environment and Safety Management for Business at Middlesex University. It provides London-based SMEs with a simple and supported route to develop an Environmental Management System (EMS), helping you improve environmental efficiency by achieving reductions in energy, water and materials use, as well as cutting carbon emissions and costs. It also helps enhance business competitiveness, for example by satisfying the environmental requirements in tenders. Through FLASH, you can receive tailored assistance to prepare the key elements of an EMS, as well as developing innovative approaches to making your own business operations more sustainable. On completion of the programme, each business is accredited to the EcoStep standard. The free and supported implementation of this unique award is currently available to London-based small to medium-sized enterprises for a limited period, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
